Jabba

Jabba started playing in 1988 at a small field in Mi, renting a converted Nelspot 007, and paying a buck a tube for paint (that’s ten rounds). His first gun was a SL-68 I, but soon traded a 1973 Chevy Malibu for a brand spanking new .68 Special. (Immediately falling in love with Siphon guns). His first team was in High School called The Skulls. He moved on to a Big Game team called The Diamond Dogs, and from there to a break off team called Strike Force. While on Strike Force he met his now long time friend “Dragonman”. After a few years He and D-man split from Strike Force to create Jabba’s Jentlemen; a Big Game and Tourney Team.
Along with Dave and T from Canada “The Jentlemen” traveled throughout Ontario and the States competing , and drinking. Which brought them to The Mi. Big One. A Big Game that was held in Silver Lake Mi. (A great field that no longer exists, thank you very much you developing golfer types, but I am not bitter.) At this particular game we were introduced to Blue, and Ole’ Ugly. The Ugly one was a pieced together Mega-Z a new Siphon marker on the market, that Blue was selling. For that weekend all of the Jentlemen used Ole’ Ugly at least once and were hooked with the gun and these cool people from PA.
The Years passed and The Jentlemen and Blue continued to cross paths with Blue and Chris playing tourneys with them and The Jentlemen traveling to games and Blue’s new venture EMR Paintball Park.
On roughly my 5th yr of college (think I am at 7or 8 now.) Jabba’s Jentlemen faded and he moved to the beach in FL. Jabba and D-man along with Blue stayed in touch through the move. Jabba got D-man to come down for a Wayne’s Game the first year he was in FL. It was a somewhat new concept on an old premiss, The Big Game. A 24hr Scenario with a storyline, mission, roles, and props. This game also introduced us to a man named “Goob” who as it was the Gen. For the team they were playing. (as a matter of fact they wound up having to camp with him do to lack of space.) As they found he was the Captain of a Scenario Team called the Mayberry Marauders. After the weekend they were invited to join and have been playing big and Scenario games with them since.
It has been 15 yrs since I started this journey and will hopefully be doing it for way more yrs to come. I am honored to be a part of this Team and can’t wait to get out there.
